What is Gaza Online?
Gaza Online is a volunteer effort to quickly provide free electronic SIM cards, or eSIMs, to Gazan families to stay connected to each other, the world, and life-saving emergency services.
We rely on in-kind donations of eSIM activation codes and quickly match them with families in Gaza through Whatsapp. Certain eSIMs only work in certain parts of Gaza depending on network strength. To match the right eSIM to someone’s circumstances, we have volunteers working 24/7 to provide activation and troubleshooting support to recipients.
The initiative was kickstarted by Gaza Sky Geeks alumni and is being supported by volunteers in Gaza and across the world.
We are also accepting monetary donations, 100% of which will be used to purchase and distribute eSIMs. When eSIMs are no longer needed in Gaza, any remaining funds will be donated to Gaza Sky Geeks for their rebuilding.
